The Wall

I am standing
In the corridor
Waiting for someone
To open the door

The walls around
Seem so high
Hidden secrets
Those are blind to the eye

A mother’s sigh
A baby’s cry
A lover’s sob
Of a love went robbed

A toothless old man
Who loved a whisky can
A little maid,
Who was never paid

A drunken husband
A beaten wife
Quirky laughter
Of a child divine

Grandma’s memory
of a life gone by
Her children living
In a far of land.

A tear of love
A woe of sadness
A tinge of laughter
A life of happiness

Silent truths,
Spoken lies
Romantic dinners
And muffled fights…

This is just too wonderful .... simple and expressive ...
And I absolutely loved the lines -
Silent truths
Spoken lies ....
